Frequently Asked Questions about Pool Cards

Residents have had several questions over the past few days regarding pool card pickup this Saturday.  Here's our Pool Card FAQ:

1.  I didn't fill out a pool card application.  Will I still have a pool card to pick up Saturday?
No, if you didn't fill out the application that was mailed to you, you will not yet have a pool card.  In order to get one, you may come by on Saturday between 9 and 11 and fill out an application.  Your pool card will then be ordered through RPM.

2.  I will be out of town/otherwise occupied on Saturday morning.  Is there another time when I can pick up my pool card?
Yes.  You may pick up your pool cards the first time you come to the pool, once the pool opens.  The gate guard will assist you in locating and signing for your card.

3.  I have my pool card from last year.  Can't I just use it?
No, we have new pool cards this year, complete with new information.  We have many new residents, and some who lived here last year have moved.

4.  I did not pay my VOWCA dues ($300) this year.  How can I get a pool card?
You can write a check to RPM for the entire amount owed and send it in with your pool card application.  If you're not sure how much money you owe, the gate guards and lifeguards will have a list of delinquent accounts and can check to see if you are on it.  Please keep in mind that liens will be placed on these accounts (with an additional $125) in September.

5.  My pool card is not in yet because I applied late/failed to fill it out entirely.  How can I get into the pool?
If your VOWCA dues are paid but you still don't have a pool card, you may show your ID or recent bill with your VOW address to the gate guard to gain entry to the pool.

6.  I forgot my card.  Can I get into the pool today?
Sorry, you'll be asked to go home and retrieve it.

7.  I lost my card.  Can I get a new one?
Yes, new cards are available for $5/card.

If you have additional questions, please let us know!

Pool Card Pickup 5/16

If you're a Villages of Wellington resident who has paid your Community Association dues and applied for pool cards for summer 2009, you may pick up those cards this Saturday, May 16 at the pool from 10:00 a.m.--noon.

Please remember, you must bring your pool card to the pool every time you visit.  If you have forgotten your card, you'll be asked to go and get it.  If you don't have a card, you'll be denied entry to the pool unless your application is approved and being processed and you show another form of ID.

As residents who pay annual dues, it costs us more in pool maintenance fees, chemical costs, and personnel wages when non-residents continue to use our pool.  For that reason and insurance reasons, it is important that only residents and their paying guests use the pool.  To insure that this is the case, the pool staff will be strictly enforcing the pool card rule.  Thank you for your cooperation in making the Villages of Wellington pool a safe, fun and affordable recreational opportunity for our residents!
